HOPE.
Hope springs eternal and all of that. As long as I hang onto hope, it doesn't matter if I have bad days, or if getting published takes way longer than I want it to. I can always hope for a better day.
As long as I can hope, I believe my dream will come true.
How about you guys? What inspires you?
Without hope, there is nothing.
ReplyDeleteHope is definitely so inspiring! Keep in mind, too, that with PUBLISHING--it is persistence that pays... keeps the hope alive, that even if you aren't there, you can tack a YET on the end and know it will keep happen, just so long as you keep working.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I keep telling myself and it's really helped keep my spirits up! :)
DeleteHope is a beautiful thing. I try to remember that no matter what, there's always hope!
ReplyDeleteI figure, hope implies a belief in myself that I can do this. As long as I have that belief I'll keep writing, getting better and better and, eventually, this WILL work.
DeleteNever lose Hope, hang on with both hands :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suzanne!
DeleteVery simple thought — and definitely inspiring. I guess the stronger version of hope, which I like to use, is "I believe".
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I said to someone else! As long as I don't lose my belief in myself, I know this will eventually happen. It's that simple. Of course, sometimes the simplest things are the hardest ones to live by, but I'm feeling really good about things. I have a lot of hope right now. :)
DeleteOkay, so now I see I was wrong and you did actually join us this week. Oops! Yes, hope is definitely what keeps me going.
ReplyDeleteYup! here I am. :)
DeleteI've always liked the quote: When the world says, "Give up," Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
ReplyDeleteI'll always listen to that little whisper. :)
Great quote! I love that. :)
DeleteMine is like yours. As long as I have a small bit of hope, I am good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder!
I so agree with your last line, " As long as I can hope, I believe my dream will come true." And a bit of patience.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us! Hope and patience are definitely what's needed in this industry. I have a lot of the former but not so much of the latter. If someone says "Hope is a thing with feathers" to me, my usual impulse is to say, "Then let's pluck it." But seriously, hope is the key. Great post!
